This looks pretty good guys. The background and font look good and you do not put too much information on any slide. The screenshots look good and all look relevant. The only problem that I have with the presentation is that is a little long, 50 slides is a long time to hold someone’s attention. You guys could cut out a major section that is not necessary or you could just make all of the sections shorter.
I think this is a great slideshow. The content is perfect. It is general enough that anyone can understand it and it also presents in-depth information so tha anyone could get use out of the presentation. My only concern is the font color. I viewed the slideshow on an old computer with a worn out monitor and the white did not stand out well because there is some white in the background. Experiment with some different colors, shodows or fonts to get the right image.
I think that this is a very good and easy to follow powerpoint. The way that you use the screenshots and the arrows help the viewer follow the presentation. I am not sure if slide 8 (getting started with google calendar) is supposed to have a crooked picture but it kind of bugs me. That is really the only thing that I found in your presentation that I think needs to be fixed. I like the way that you changed the layout of each slide to suit the point your getting across. Very good.
That is a concern of ours. We need to change that picture to something else. The crookedness and bluriness of it takes away value from the presentation. We will replace it with a better picture that is clearer and is something that will add value to the presentation. Thats nice to hear that everything else looks good.
I like the color scheme of your project. It is very informative and well accented. However, the screenshots are a little too tiny. There are some places where I can't read the text very well within the picture you have chosen. I would also advise against only using part of a screen shot. If a person is searching for where something is on the screen, they do not want to have to guess from which part it came. It would be like solving a puzzle without a picture to go from.
The screenshots are hard to get just how we want them, but I do agree that they could be improved. That is a good idea to only use part of the screen shots, and not the whole picture. This would also make it easier to read. Hopefully the big red arrows help the viewers locate what we are trying to explain to them. We will go back through everything before we turn it in and correct these problems, and hopefully make it a better presentation in all. Thanks for the advice.
To start off I really liked the look of your project. I know that "looks are not everything" but it really helps keep the person's attention during a presentation. I don't know how you did it but your images are crystal clear. The font and colors just work great together. Your presentation really flows well from point A to B. This helps people really get the most out the presentation. The best thing about your presentation is your clarity of the topic. Your step by step instructions had made it really easy to follow (and this is coming from a guy who "lacks" computer skills). What really shocked me was the fact that I know want to set up a Google calendar! Great job guys and good luck on any revisions you make.
I’m still not sure if I like the font color against that background… it just seems a little too bright to me. I also think that the font size on the transition slides needs to be much bigger… they have a little too much empty space, and it makes them seem kind of bland. Overall, however, I have to say that I am pleased with the layout, and I think that with the proper modifications, this will be a really good presentation. When you guys (Ashley) are done with this next round of revisions, don’t forget to send me a copy of the presentation, and I’ll give a final once over, and post it to the site.
The presentation was very informative and showed every bit of its effort. The background pattern, font and font color all were kept to its basic and blended nicely. The presentation was having the appropriate mix of picture in form of screen shots, user interfaces for feature and explanations. The selection of light blue pattern was quite professional but at times it did not fit with the screen shots, it could have been fixed with a border or having an extra layer of background. But the subject matter and its comprehensive undertaking is more than enough for suppressing such flaws which goes with all common presentations unless it’s a corporate or professional presentation where they keep all aspect pretty tight like proper blending of background with foreground elements whether it is text, graphics or animation. The really appreciate the elaborate and comprehensive undertaking of the subject matter.
